Renewable energy consultancy K2 Management has been appointed owner’s engineer for two of TSV Investment’s onshore wind farms in Vietnam with a combined capacity of 350 MW.

The projects, which will receive support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), are the 175 MW Kong Yang and 175 MW Cư An developments in Gia Lai province.

Both projects are expected to enter commercial operation in 2023.

K2 Management will provide analysis to optimize project yields through energy efficiency assessment analysis, turbine generator selection and procurement process management.

“This will support project risk reduction and provide TSV with top-notch third-party visibility into the planned financial performance of projects before construction begins,” the consulting firm said.

USAID, in collaboration with the USAID INVEST initiative, selected TSV to receive the support and K2 Management to provide this support.

TSV Investment President Do Van Dien said: “TSV is very happy to partner with K2 Management again, this time on our Gia Lai projects on one of the largest such contracts in Vietnam.

“We are sure of a positive result, just as we experienced when TSV collaborated with K2M on our previous wind projects in Ninh Thuan which reached commercial operation in 2017.”
