Vestas has received an order to supply EnVentus turbines to the 102 MW Narpio Norrskogen wind farm, developed by EPV Energy in western Finland.
The Danish manufacturer will supply, install and commission 17 V162-6.0MW turbines on the project, located in Narpio, near Vaasa, on the country’s west coast.
Vestas will provide the service under an over 30-year active 5000 production management agreement.
Deliveries are expected in the second quarter of 2022, with full commissioning of the project expected by the end of the same year.
Juan Furones, Vice President of Sales for Northern and Central Europe of Vestas, said: “We are privileged to continue our partnership with EPV Energy on the Narpio Norrskogen project, extending our collaboration with EPV as they develop another project with our latest technology.
“With over 1.3 GW of EnVentus orders in Finland and installations starting in 2021, we are delivering the latest technology and ultimately profitable wind power to Finnish consumers.
“The long-term service agreement also continues to establish Vestas’ service offerings as an industry leader, maintaining peak fleet performance in the future. “
EPV Windpower Managing Director Frans Liski said: “Wind power is an important form of power generation for EPV Energy. EPV Energy takes responsibility for its wind farms throughout their life cycle and it is very important that we have a strong partner in Vestas in the future.
“We have had a good long term partnership with Vestas and we are delighted to continue to work with them on our path to a new zero emission world. “
