Luke Freeman says he’s not sure what the future holds after a stop-start season at Nottingham Forest.

Asked if he knew what the future held for him beyond this season, the 28-year-old replied that he didn’t know but was happy to return to play.

“I’m just happy to be in good shape again.
“I want to play as many games as possible by the end of the season, and see where it takes me.
“I feel like I’ve shown some really good glimpses of where I can be, even though I’m still a long way from where I want to be – but you won’t be when you’ve been away for two. or three months.
“I really feel like I’m finding my feet and I appreciate being back.
“You talk to any player and they’ll tell you it’s important to have a series of games. You are lucky to find your feet.
“It can be very difficult sometimes when you’re in and out of the team.
“Getting a consistent series of games is extremely important for any player. It allows you to develop your self-confidence, it allows you to start to get the sharpness of your match, and then before you know it, after four, five or six games you feel like you’re back in. your old me.
“When you’ve had that much time out, you’re not always going to come back and hit the ground as well as you would like.
“But I’m happy with my performance and it’s generally good for me.”
