Deutsche Windtechnik has won a tender from energy supplier EWE Erneuerbare Energien and will supply 110 wind turbines of different system technologies with a transponder-based Aircraft Detection Lighting System (ADLS).

ADLS from Deutsche Windtechnik can be installed in different configurations, for example as a complete solution or by integrating the manufacturer’s ADLS interface.

The portfolio to be adapted includes turbines commonly used in Germany, including many models from Enercon, Senvion, Vestas, Siemens, Nordex and Fuhrländer.

The wind turbines are located at 25 wind farms across Germany and in some cases ADLS systems are installed to cover multiple wind farms at the same time.

Ewald Heyen of EWE Erneuerbare Energien, who chaired the tender, said: “Deutsche Windtechnik won the tender to supply our onshore portfolio with ADLS technology.

“Deutsche Windtechnik came up with the best overall offer.

“Deutsche Windtechnik has been dealing with many EWE wind farms for several years, in particular for wind turbines from the manufacturers Fuhrländer, Nordex, Senvion and Vestas.

“This is why we already know the company so well and have been impressed with its good performance in the past.”

Jasper Salzwedel, Senior Sales Manager at Deutsche Windtechnik, adds: “The result of the tender shows that the flexible ADLS meets the requirements of energy suppliers and the requirements of the combined wind farm.

“The important advantage is that it can be configured and used independently of the system technology and can be adapted to existing systems and wind farm infrastructure.”
