The B. Grimm solar power plant in Vietnam’s Phu Yen province is one of the largest solar projects in Southeast Asia.
B. Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM) plans to increase the installed capacity of its plants to 7,200 megawatts by 2025.
“BGRIM’s goal is to increase the proportion of clean energy in its energy portfolio as part of efforts to reduce global warming and protect the environment in a sustainable manner,†said Harald Link, president and chairman by BGRIM.
About 71% of the company’s total installed production capacity comes from cogeneration plants fueled by natural gas and 29% from renewable or clean energy.
On June 2, BGRIM held a road show to provide investors with information about the company and preparations for the offering and issuance of new bonds worth 8 billion baht, with 4 billion baht. greenshoe options.
The proceeds from the debentures will be used to invest in projects that will be implemented in the near future to include completely new facilities and factories in the context of mergers and acquisitions.
Some possible deals under consideration are wind farms and natural gas power plants in Vietnam, Malaysia and South Korea.
The deals are expected to close in the second half of the year.
Part of the funds raised through the debentures will also be used to repay existing loans in order to reduce interest charges, and another part has been allocated to working capital.
Part of the 12 billion baht of bonds comes from its green bond, denoting its environmental vocation, with a maturity of five years.
Some 87% of the green bond proceeds go to BGRIM’s solar power projects in Vietnam and around 13% to the wind farm in Mukdahan province, northeast Thailand.
Pricing for expected bonds is to be determined from demand for securities as part of the book-building process to be undertaken this week.
The offering and issuance of the three tranches of debentures is expected to take place in early July.
Bangkok Bank, Kasikornbank and Kiatnakin Phatra Securities have been appointed as underwriters for the Debentures.
